Plenty of time for soundscape making. But weird feeling being home. The garage will run a diagnostics this morning and call me before noon. So I just did my weekly cleaning. Will be going out to make errands later today. That way I have the whole weekend errand free. If I’m home tomorrow I will do the laundry. That gives me the entire weekend to soundscape making.
Won’t get the bus back until middle of next week. 🙁 Will loose money and I have difficulty handling this situation. Trying to make a list for today, the weekend and Monday. If I don’t do that nothing will happen. So I’m trying to deal with the situation. I’m not very good at handling sudden changes.
Trying out the piano part again. It’s better than before. But not good enough for even a soundscape pre recording.
Went shopping for groceries and felt clear signs of a panic attack. To many people. To much noise. I forgot my headphones. Usually wear them when I do my shopping. Then the wiper broke on my car. Had to fix a new one. After that the day has been fine. We’ll see how it ends. Started to watch Rome. Bought an hdmi cable and connected it to my iPad.
Continuing to improvise the piano part tonight. Guess it can be a central part of this soundscape.
It’s 20.00 hrs and I nailed the piano part! 🙂 Feels great. One thing I’m slightly worried about is my 16gb iPad.
I realize now that 16gb doesn’t weight in when it comes to the technique I’m using right now. And storage is going to be a problem further on down the line. I can’t have 2 complete sonic sculptures in NanoStudio at the same time.
Organising a soundscape
And I really have to get a best practise when it comes to labelling my samples. Will relabel tonight with S01 S02 and so forth. And with part labels where necessary. If I don’t do this now the final mix will be a minefield to work with. A cornerstone when making soundscapes like this is to be organized from the start.
Now I have to think about the second part of the second scene. Heavier piano. And it’s Magellan search time again. Make a new loop from NanoStudio and paste in Magellan. 🙂
